Boris Johnson last evening announced another National Lockdown to help bring the Coronavirus pandemic under control in England and across the UK.  Tekta UK are fully in support of this move by the Government and will be doing all in our power to reduce the risk of infection, whilst remaining open for business as usual to support the critical industries such as food manufacturing and temperature controlled logistics which the country relies on.

As per our original statement in March 2020 the three core aims of our Covid response plan are to 1) take necessary precautions to ensure the welfare of our staff & community and prevent the spread of the virus, 2) Ensure minimal disruption to the service we offer our clients, and 3) safeguard the future of our business to emerge from the other side even stronger.

Here are some of the measures we have taken:

  • It is not possible for our on site service & installation engineers to work from home, our engineers have been issued with PPE and are required to follow all site rules as well as the Government’s Covid guidelines.
  • It is also not possible for all of our office staff to work from home, however where possible our employees are working from home.  Those working in the office are socially distanced with “sneeze screens” and we have a regular cleaning regime as well as wearing face coverings when not at our own desk.
  • All employees have been asked to download the NHS Covid app and we are proactively monitoring other Government guidelines and support measures.

Our 24/7 emergency callout service remains open for our customers, many of whom play a critical part in keeping the UK going with medical supplies, food & drink.

Once again, we are fully committed to looking after our staff & customers at this difficult time. This is also a good time to remind ourselves of the part we all play in our communities & to offer any support & encouragement we can to those in need.
